Great Feel man. I liked it!

I liked it a lot. Just seems like the guitar was a bit too synthesized. I would love to help ya out. As I said on your Orange Enemy Song, when I'm fighting a boss, I would love to get that rush of energy and excitement. Congrats you nailed it!

Just needs a bit of a touch-up with the guitar, but after listening to this for a few loops, I'm getting used to the guitar. I'm tempted to almost go play a few old RPG's now just for some of the boss music lol.

SoulRed12 responds:

Yeah, guitar is certainly not my strong point. I play the piano so I'm stuck with garageband's software + amp simulator -_- lol.

Yeah let me know some ideas for guitars or if/when we could collab or something, I'm really a keyboard guy so guitar is pretty foreign to me. Hehe.

Thanks for the review!

Ok, I've heard enough...

I'm done. I swear my friend. I'm going backwards through your music. You and I are going to do this. We are going to collab. I will drive to your house and wait on your lawn if I have to! (wouldn't be hard)

Lol, sorry, stalker status :P
Great sound. I definitely felt that aquatic/tundra feeling. The echo's almost helped it give it a sense of being inside a cavern. I enjoy it.

Go away stalker XD

Seriously though, we should definitely collab. It'd be great to collab with someone who can do some really good guitar work, I think we'd complement each other perfectly. Send me a PM or something and we can work it out!

Really...

I can't stop thinking of Final Fantasy in the back of my mind lol. It just seems like the synth is playing this big role in the music telling its story.

Only thing I have to say I don't really likeis the drums. They almost just need to be muffled just a tad. They just sound to prominent if you know what I mean.

Good stuff dude, again 5/5, 10/10

SoulRed12 responds:

Heh, you should've heard the drums before I remixed this thing ;) lol but yeah, I couldn't seem to find a good mix for the drum track, I'll give it another go and see what happens. Perhaps muffling them a bit is all I'll need.

Thanks!

Wow

I'm enjoying this. listening to some of your other pieces, I have to say I'm enjoying this one a lot and it seems like your music really matured over time. Mad props to ya as people don't usually mature their music and it just sits and wastes air.

Love the flute, dear god. Is it synth? The drums were great, along with the strings. The bells though did take away from it at the end. I didn't enjoy the sound of the high bells. They almost felt like they were cluttering up the sound.

Either way. I enjoyed it.

SoulRed12 responds:

Yup yup, the flute is synth. I spent a while with the e/q trying to get it to sound just right.

The bells...yeah, they don't sound the greatest coming to think of it =p The piece felt a little empty before them but the bells just don't seem to be working out. I'll just have to load it back into garageband.

Thanks for the great review!

I dig!

I loved the megaman Network series, amazingly lol. You did it justice. Love the way the guitar is the rhythm and not the lead like most. Good stuff.

SoulRed12 responds:

Network was an amazing series. Glad you liked the cover!

Much appreciated, and thanks for the review!

Huh

Quite a bit of potential here. I enjoyed it. Laid back and yet feels like somethings still going on.

Good stuff

mthealien responds:

Cool cool, glad you enjoyed it. I've been working on a new track until a week ago when my laptop died. >:|
But, i just got a new one yesterday! :D

Hopefully i'll be able to transfer my work to the new one and post something better soon!
Thanks!

I am digging!

Have to give ya mad props. Not often do I hear any good beats with those instruments. I like, good feel to it and fits the Ambient feel perfectly!

Might have to work with ya on some songs sometime! Hit me up if you get a chance and we'll trade Emails and Skype's. Would love to get a Collabed song out!

megakyle53 responds:

yea i wish i could collaborate but my computer will not let me put anything on newgrounds for some reason sorry but once my computer gets fixed sure i'll collab

Interesting

I thought it was a very interesting mix. I liked the idea of using the Piano as the Bass with the drums accompanying in the first part. Have to say though that the bass throughout was a bit over powering and drowned out the main melody from the Piano.
Good mix and not a bad song.

Pissomatik responds:

I'm on a 2.0 speaker system on my cpu so I don't get the drowning effect. I need a sub so I can really hear what's going on with the bass. There is a separate bass from the piano, most noticable at the end. It just goes along with the piano chords throughout the main part. Glad you liked it. I wanted to do so much more with it but came to a mental stuper. Oh well. Thanks for the review.

hmm

Well, for starters, what was that bass and drum riff in the beginning for?

Second, not a bad sound from the Synth, the..I believe it was a Piano, didn't mix as well due to some notes being played that didn't flow and ended up sounding like it was too sharp of a note for the first part.

Possibly drop the piano or change some of its notes. The bass beat near the end was very well placed and flowed well. As well as the Guitar. It flowed well.

Overall, this piece should be expanded into something. I see something great if you take some time to make everything flow together, maybe write some lyrics, that all depends on you.

Not bad. 7/10

ShiverMeSideways responds:

Whoa, thanks for the input, I must admit I was expecting flaming or something for a love song :P. The song segues in from the previous Temperature Rise, so that explains the bass and drum at the beginning. I agree that the piano is a bit weird and that this piece should've been longer, but it's the best I could do at the time. That bass bit at the end was stuck in my head for days before I managed to put it in the song, it's something I got from a NIN song, but I can't remember which...

Thanks again for the ideas :).

Not bad at all!

We like it a very lot! You should check out someone called Saberpulse, he's a UK kid who lives on myspace, but all of his techno is 8bit and he is god with it :P

Anyways, good stuff !

ZOMGBIE responds:

Appreciate the support! I just checked him out. He is good. Thanks for sharing.
